It's that time of year again!!! Stephanie Marie Photographie is scouring the town for the IE faces!  Hurry, the contest ends March 31, 2012!!!

The details: 

3 winners- 1 baby, 1 toddler, 1 child (ages newborn-15)

Each will be be the coveted 2013 face of Stephanie Marie Photographie

Prizes for each winner: a year of waived session fees, 16x20 fine-art matted print, a set of boutique annoucement cards & free accordian brag books from each session throughout the year!

This post is very special to me!  My little artist found this sweet birds nest at our absolute favorite store in downtown Franklin, PD's.  If you haven't checked them out and you are local, do yourself a favor!  They have the most unique finds and the prices will literally make you gasp at the outstanding deals!!!
I digress...as soon as she picked this birds nest out, I said "what an awesome prop for Easter sessions!"  Immediately, she asked to do a photoshoot, which she set up ALL by herself! I was blown away by her creativity and my heart beat a tiny bit faster wondering if she would follow in my footsteps.  The lil pink bankie is her beloved Pickle blanket...we affectionately call it her lifeline! At home, she picked out all the edits herself and was so proud! Of course, I had to shoot a little of my love as well!

Let's get personal...

As I sit awake at 2a, no my babies are not keeping me up! I sit here pondering my crazy, wonderful August! As many of you know, I did not start my life as a photographer. In fact, a very unique change of events bought this life to me. A God given gift I would cherish forever. A talent, I knew not existed and the knowledge to use his gift to my best ability. Although not seen directly, happiness held a new meaning in my life. I ask you, what were you given that changed your life? Did you have the heart & strength to dare to be different? Did you walk a line you were challenged not to? We all walk our own unique path. All different and all special. Each family I work with inspires me. To experience a love so deep and so unconditional has brought a miraculous joy to my life. I think we each should strive to find our happiness. No masking, no make believe. Real, true, makes your heart pound happiness. Mine is my family, a husband who never let's me forget it's our love that is our family. "it's you and me" "we started this." words I'll remember for the rest of my life, reminding me how strong our bond is. My daughter, who starts big girl preschool tomorrow. My sweet, sweet angel baby who sings at the top of her lungs and dances without a care in the world. My light. The baby who decided he would be carried for 42 weeks just to be a nusiance. The calm his smile brings to my heart astounds me. Photography. The realization of who I am and have wanted to be, I just never knew it. Be happy my friends, be happy.

Just to share a little happiness with you...

{Franklin, TN photographer}{Nashville, TN photographer} KAYLA ANN WALES MEMORIAL FUND PHOTOSHOOTS

Two Thursdays ago, I woke to the news of tragedy.  A child very near to the Stephanie Marie Photographie family, Kayla Ann Wales, lost her father unexpectedly due to a motorcycle accident the night before.  As a mother, my heart clinched in my chest and I felt nervous to exhale.  Four weeks before her 8th birthday, 11 days before Fathers day.  I immediately called her mother to confirm the news and again, I was left unable to breathe. 

Kayla remains standing courageously tall, allowing all in her life to grieve while holding our hands.  Her smiles remind us all of the joy in her life, which would not be without the angel who watches over her each day. 

To honor Kayla, Stephanie Marie Photographie will be hosting the Kayla Ann Wales Memorial Fund Benefit.   A day of photoshoots to enjoy the day and be glad.

$50.00 includes a 20 minute, on-location photoshoot & 8x10 fine art print.  ALL proceeds will benefit the Kayla Ann Wales Memorial Fund.
