Well, where to begin???? As the oldest pretty of this gorgeous mama informed me last week, this was our 4th session together.  Miss Gorgeous Mama & I have been working on this materpiece for the past 2 years.  It is a collection of canvas gallery wraps, standouts, float wraps, gallery wrap image blocks and framed images.  Measuring, adding, taking away, moving, renovating and finally completed our work...or so we thought because now we have this years images and we are already brainstorming on the addtional years placement and new creations!

This is the perfect example of living your art, being your session, feeling your family photoshoot.  You didn't get your familys pictures done to let them sit on a disk or in a box or 2 or 3 framed around the house!  Enjoy them! Every day! Stop in your tracks to admire the specs of green caught in your daughters eyes, chuckle at the sight of your sons crooked smile, let your heart flutter at the remarkable way your Mr. Man looks at you when you don't know it....this is your life!  This is what we are capturing...now enjoy it!

so the story goes...snow white ditched that witch took her "magic" apple and headed to houston. 

she grew up pretty & tall & is headed to college in the fall, with all the other modern day princesses!

roughly a week & a half ago, I was caught daydreaming with the one & only Shalonda Chaddock of Chubby Cheek Photography.  besides having the most amazing day talking "the biz," I was able to specifically choose a session I wanted to shoot while I was with her.  Of course, I put her expertise to the test and chose a conceptual, styled senior session...and of course she and the lovely Jessica Avery of The Cotton Exchange {Vintage Rentals} took my challenge in stride and showed me how 2 texan girls roll!  we had an amazing session, amazing day and thanks to Shalonda, lots of wonderful new going on here at Stephanie Marie Photographie!!!

This post is very special to me!  My little artist found this sweet birds nest at our absolute favorite store in downtown Franklin, PD's.  If you haven't checked them out and you are local, do yourself a favor!  They have the most unique finds and the prices will literally make you gasp at the outstanding deals!!!
I digress...as soon as she picked this birds nest out, I said "what an awesome prop for Easter sessions!"  Immediately, she asked to do a photoshoot, which she set up ALL by herself! I was blown away by her creativity and my heart beat a tiny bit faster wondering if she would follow in my footsteps.  The lil pink bankie is her beloved Pickle blanket...we affectionately call it her lifeline! At home, she picked out all the edits herself and was so proud! Of course, I had to shoot a little of my love as well!

{Franklin, TN photographer}{Nashville, TN photographer} KAYLA ANN WALES MEMORIAL FUND PHOTOSHOOTS

Two Thursdays ago, I woke to the news of tragedy.  A child very near to the Stephanie Marie Photographie family, Kayla Ann Wales, lost her father unexpectedly due to a motorcycle accident the night before.  As a mother, my heart clinched in my chest and I felt nervous to exhale.  Four weeks before her 8th birthday, 11 days before Fathers day.  I immediately called her mother to confirm the news and again, I was left unable to breathe. 

Kayla remains standing courageously tall, allowing all in her life to grieve while holding our hands.  Her smiles remind us all of the joy in her life, which would not be without the angel who watches over her each day. 

To honor Kayla, Stephanie Marie Photographie will be hosting the Kayla Ann Wales Memorial Fund Benefit.   A day of photoshoots to enjoy the day and be glad.

$50.00 includes a 20 minute, on-location photoshoot & 8x10 fine art print.  ALL proceeds will benefit the Kayla Ann Wales Memorial Fund.
